Bentiu base visit.
La visite de bentiu.



J'avais deja ete a Bentiu. mais j'ai quelques photos de plus.

I already went to bentiu, but i have more pictures.

I love those tiny little planes, where you have the feeling they just added 2 wings to a big car. that time we got in the plane, the pilot told us "please everyone sits in the front, because we have a printer machine in the back so we need to balance the weight"

J'adore ces avions, ou on a l'impression qu'ils ont ajoutes 2 ailes a une grosse voiture. cette fois la, quand on est montes dans l'avion, le pilote nous a annonce "s'il vous plait, tout le monde se met a l'avant de l'avion, parce que on a besoin de balancer le poids avec l'imprimante a l'arriere"
And this time, i got the picture of the airstrip really nicely !!!

Et cette fois ci j'ai pris une belle photo de la piste d'atterissage.

And now in bentiu we have a nice security wall (against lost bullets). long story for this wall. it actually was planed to be in the front of the coumpound, and on the side. and we had agreed on the budget. but when i got there, realized the wall was onviously not as big as planned. they explained to me "look, you see the wall we built is a wider, because we used the bricks the other direction, it is absolutely more solid" and yes - it was a lot more expensive !!! so they only built part of it. you gotta love the challenges ;-) make a plan... what for? and more over, bad luck for us, the town added a nice and thick layer to the road soon after so the wall is almost below the street level - great !

A bentiu on a construit un mur de securite (contre les balles perdues). histoire un peu longues, mais sur le principe, on avait dit OK pour un mur qui allait couvrir 3 bords du jardin, et le budget etait fixe. et bien quelle ne fut pas ma surprise quand je m'apercoit que le mur est bcp plus court. en effet ils ont construit un mur 2 fois plus epais !!! merci d'avoir prevu un budget et un plan. la creativite des gens ici continue de m'impressionner. en plus on a pas eu de bol. la ville a decide de rehausser la route peu apres notre belle construction. et maintenant c'est presque comme si le mur etait en dessous du niveau de la route !!
